Jordy's biography is written by his owner, trainer and handler – Sherran Howlett.

Jordy has the nickname, NortyJordy (as in “naughty”) which really is a bit of a misnomer because he’s not really naughty at all! He just has this gorgeous, mischievous face that makes him look like he’s been naughty even if he hasn’t and even when he’s asleep! He also bears a large white “Nike” tick on his neck, hence the name Jordy, after Michael Jordan who had such a famous connection with Nike.

Jordy made sure that he would be the one to be noticed right from a young age when he broke his toes at five weeks. That ensured attention and right from the moment he came home, it was all about him – in the nicest possible way! Fitted with a buoyancy vest, he had to go swimming every day and even as the water and weather got colder, just like a little trooper, in he’d go, swim his laps then get out for rugging up and cuddles with dad to keep warm. He lapped it up!

Jordy was always destined for the show ring and started his career with a second place in his class at the Boxer Association Open Show in 2010. Later in the year he took first place in the Local Puppy Sweepstakes against 8 other lovely puppies under an international judge and also took first place in the Minor Puppy Dog class at the Melbourne Royal. Sadly, he had the following 11 months out of the show ring after injuring himself being silly in the garden! (Surely not NortyJordy!). It seemed he might never return to the show ring but in August 2011 Jordy made a wonderful return by winning the Best Local Open Sweepstakes at Maffra against a number of Champions, Grand Champions and two dogs who had several international championship titles, under a Canadian judge. He followed this up with his first Best of Breed not long after and has continued to show well. In June 2012 he competed at the lead in Champ Show and the Boxer National and was short listed out of a large class at both. In August , he took out the Aus. Bred Dog class at the Boxer Association Championship Show under Boxer specialist judge, Mr. Greg Dowell. He also placed second in the Local Open Sweepstakes at Maffra to a lovely Grand Champion Border Collie who also happens to be his friend and has since won his first class in Group. He also placed second in his class at the Melbourne Royal.

Being very intelligent and quick to learn, in 2012, he also started training to compete in RallyO trials. He gained three passes in his first two trials to gain his Rally Novice title and is a regular at the local dog obedience club where he’s ensured that everyone knows who he is with his clowning around and silly antics!

Quite possibly an equal highlight for 2012 was his starring role in a television ad. Unfortunately not shown in Victoria, the ad was for a brand of Roast Lamb and entirely revolved around Jordy’s trying to decide whether or not to “taste” the yummy Spring Valley Roast Lamb! He acquitted himself and the Boxer breed very well & pulled all the right faces at the right time, so much so that it was recommended he be registered with a talent agency!

See, still getting all the attention! For all his fame and notoriety, Jordy is still a wonderful, intelligent, mischievous, happy-go-lucky fellow to live with and certainly keeps us loved and entertained along with his sister, Luca.
